Exercising gender study
My leisure activity is exercising. In this study, i researched genders and how much they exercise. 60% of the articles i found were about men exercising, and 40% were about women. Women are portrayed in the media to only exercise to look good and be healthy during and after their pregnancy, and men are portrayed to exercise to prevent harmful and dangerous falls in their old age, and to buff up and be confident and cocky and show off. Men are portrayed to be serious when they exercise and do really tough exercises, and women are portrayed to do light exercises like light weights and yoga and jogging. In this study, i learned that women and men are portrayed very differently by the media, and it may not always be true. I also learned that exercising is crucial during your old age and pregnancy.
